One-year anniversary: Lookback at the first year of the blog

September 2, 2018

One year ago, September 1st, 2017, I was launching this blog.

I was apprehensive, shy, embarrassed, I really didn’t want to do this but at the same, really wanted to

In the end, I did launch my blog and put myself out there. And today, I don’t regret anything.

I have learned a lot since the beginning: I find I write better articles, the pictures I take are getting nicer all the time, and I even have more and more ideas for posts.

So, first and foremost, I wanted to thank you, you who are reading me, for being there. I started this blog mostly for myself, because I missed writing and wanted to write about my passion. But knowing that somebody, somewhere, is reading me, makes me feel happy inside. So, thank you.

I wanted to look back at my most popular blog posts, from the very beginning to now. I have posted 21 posts in French and 21 in English.

Here are the 5 most popular articles from my blog! Take this opportunity to read them, if you haven’t already, or check them out again, as I often go through them and update them.

P.S.: BONUS at the end of this post, I talk about my future plans for this blog. ?

Top 5 most popular posts in English

  1. Top 10 best collections to have in your Bullet Journal
  2. The ultimate beginner’s kit for starting a Bullet Journal – at a small price!
  3. Bullet Journal: Where to start?
  4. Lookback at one year in my Bullet Journal
  5. Plan with me: June 2018 in my Bullet Journal

The future

I have a lot of future projects in mind and so little time to actually work on them!

But I still wanted to share them with you, so you can get a glimpse at what’s coming.

• Facebook group

I want to create and run a Facebook group, about the Bullet Journal and about books. I don’t know yet if I want to have two separated groups, as they are two different topics. Still thinking on that one.

I can hear you say, “But you already have a Facebook page, why would you need a Facebook group?”. In fact, a Facebook page is more to “share your business”, or get your products and services known, etc. Meanwhile, in a Facebook group, everybody is invited to post, discuss topics and ask questions, not only me. I want to create this small community to talk about our Bullet Journals, ask for ideas, etc.

If you would be interested in joining such a group, let me know in the comments below!

• Product reviews

I would like to write some reviews of notebooks and stationery products related to Bullet Journaling. I already one or two in mind, so stay tuned!

• Page About the author

Basically, I want to re-vamp my “About” page to talk a little bit more about this blog, why I started it and some details about me. I’d like my readers to know me a bit more.

• New theme and logo

This is more technical stuff, but I would really like to change the look of my blog.

Also, I would love a new logo. If you know any good and affordable graphic designers, please message me!

• How to start a blog?

There was A LOT to know when you want to start a blog so I would like to share what I learned for those who would like to start a blog, but don’t know where to start.

• Learn to film and edit videos

I would like to show my Bullet Journal set ups in videos eventually, but I have no idea where to start to capture nice videos.

• More book reviews

I would like to write more book reviews. For that, I need to find more time to read…

• Online shop

That’s a very far, far away dream, but who knows…

I think I’m going to stop her for future projects. I wanted to give you a little insight at what’s to come in the next months or even years. I have more surprises for you, too!

If you have any comments on this blog, if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to write me or leave me a comment below!

Until next time!

Mélanie
